You are the last physician of the Order of the Lancet — and you treat the disease by cutting it out.

SECTIO is a 2D pixel-art boss rush. Every boss is a patient: read the symptoms, wait for the bubo to swell, then lance it.

THE QUARANTINE

The bells of the walled city have rung for weeks, but no one walks to church anymore.

When the plague came, Father Anselmo preached it was divine punishment. He locked his faithful inside the nave to purify them with prayer, and rang the bell day and night while they died. The plague answered him. It fused the priest, the bell and the congregation into a single body — and he is still preaching.

You do not hate your patients. You came for the sick.

Behind you waits the Isolation Ward: sealed doors marked with a red cross, one patient behind each. The last door bears the mark of your own Order.

READ THE PATIENT

• Diagnosis before treatment. Every attack is telegraphed by the body. Learning a boss is diagnosing a patient — and every death should feel like your mistake, never the game's.
• Lance the bubo. At fixed moments a bubo swells on the boss, pulsing. Land a charged cut on it: the heaviest hit in the game, a long stagger, and your Contagion purged.
• Aggression heals. Damage doesn't vanish — it becomes Contagion. Strike back within four seconds to reclaim it. Hesitate, and it rots.
• Weight is commitment. Raw steel, real windup, real recovery. Miss and it costs you. Hit and it lands like a cart.
• Steel or step aside. Gold can be parried. Red means get out. White means now.
